The Jim Henson Company’s Doozers has debuted on Germany’s KiKa.
Another new deal for the series, which celebrates the spirit of being an innovator, will see the show grace the UK’s Video On Demand 365 following a deal for the SVOD rights to the series.
Elsewhere, Letson Corporation has acquired AVOD rights for Russia.
“We have secured an A-List line up of media partners for Doozers, a fresh, relevant and innovative series that resonates with children and their parents regardless of language or location,” said Richard Goldsmith, executive vice president, global distribution, The Jim Henson Company.
“Children throughout Germany will be tuning-in to enjoy the adventures of the Doozer characters and be inspired by their creativity and teamwork.”
Sebastian Debertin, head of fiction, acquisition and co-productions at KiKA (Kinderkanal of ARD and ZDF) added: “Charming, energetic and inspiring, Doozers is a programme which fits all the needs of KiKA and our young and very challenging audience.
"To watch The Pod Squad work and play along in their unique and very thoughtful designed Doozerworld is not only highly entertaining. It’s truly inspiring.”
Doozers debuted in April 2014 in the US as the first Hulu Original series for kids and initially launched in the UK on Cartoonito, in Germany on Boomerang, in Italy on Boing, on Discovery Kids Latin America, Nick Jr. Australia and Cartoon Network Asia.
