Anna Sanfeliu will help change the company's image and branding.

E-Max hires new MD

Graphic art and kids’ collectables company E-Max has hired Anna Sanfeliu as its new Managing Director.

The Barcelona-based firm has the licence for Disney, Trash Pack and Angry Birds. It produces Angry Birds albums, stickers, trading cards, power caps and more.

Sanfeliu has spent the last seven years in the roles of Product Manager, Sales Manager, Marketing Manager and Licensing Manager. She is already working on a change in brand name and image for E-Max.

A statement read: "There are plans to change the image and branding of E-Max in 2013, in order to capitalise on the company’s international presence.

"A new and original range of toys will be launched, called Clay Buddies. This range will be associated with internationally known licences such as Disney, Moshi Monsters, Angry Birds, Peppa Pig, Doraemon and others to be agreed. What is involved is an innovative concept conceived for children between four and ten years of age, combining crafts, creative skills for children and the most requested characters on the market."

Sanfeliu also has a degree in Translation and Interpreting, a diploma in Business and a master’s degree in International Business Management. She speaks a number of different languages.

She said: "E-Max is currently at a point of international expansion. In 2012, we consolidated our commercial network at a global level. Its excellent commercial activities during the whole year have led to a considerable rise in sales in the last quarter.

"In 2013, everything points towards there being year-long sustainable growth, not only in sales but also in market share. So, our products will help consolidate our presence in new distribution channels."

CEO Josep Gironès took the decision to make Sanfeliu the new MD.

E-Max predicts a 15 per cent rise in turnover for 2013. It has an industrial space of 10,000 square metres. Its warehouse is 3,500 square metres large and it employs 120 staff.
