15 year partnerships ends in 'mutual decision'

EA Sports ends partnership with Tiger Woods

EA Sports has revealed that its partnership with Tiger Woods has reached its conclusion as the PGA Tour publishers develop its latest release.

The new game will offer players more choice and customisation in how they play and where they play, but for the first time in 15 years, this will not include the Tiger Woods name.

A statement from the computer game publishers read that ‘the pair made the mutual decision to end the partnership that includes Tiger’s named PGA Tour golf game.’

"We have always been big fans of Tiger and we wish him continued success in all his future endeavours," said EA.

The firm will continue to work exclusively with the PGA Tour to create new golfing titles in the future.
