Edutainment Licensing grows Flossy and Jim’s global reach with new sub-agent in China

Edutainment Licensing is looking to grow the international reach of the animated design property, Flossy and Jim, having secured iPlay Brand Management as sub-agents for the brand in China.

The firm will look to being building out a licensing programme across the region, including within Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.

Led by Bruce Pan, iPlay Brand Management has seen a successful past ten years in the licensing space, with experience across key categories such as toys, apparel, food and beverage and more. The firm will look to replicate this success across the region with the Flossy and Jim design brand.

Flossy and Jim began life as the brain-child of Lynette and James Dare, two artists living in Brixham in Devon. The pair’s mission from the beginning has been to help young people feel positive and supported in life, using bright and bold on-trend designs with humorous slogans that audiences can relate to.

They both regularly present workshops in schools, talking to pupils about their personal journeys, encouraging and inspiring them to believe in themselves. Commissioned by the National Collaborative Outreach Programme they also help young people to understand the importance of working hard, self-discipline, resilience and looking at practical ways they can build their own futures.

Denise Dean, owner of Edutainment Licensing, said in a post on social media: “We are delighted to announce the appointment of iPlay Brand Management as sub agents for Flossy and Jim in China.

“With 10 years licensing experience in categories such as toys, apparel, food and beverage, we are looking forward to working with the team to develop an exciting programme in the region to include Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.”
