Egmont Publishing will be part of the ongoing global domination of Ryan’s World, having just secured the rights to publish the official Ryan’s World magazine and books.
Ryan is the seven year old star of RyanToys Review, a YouTube channel that attracts 60 million views a month in the UK alone, and has reached over one billion views worldwide. The Ryan’s World brand is continuing to expand across children’s entertainment sectors across the world.
The latest partnership represents a new move into the YouTube market for Egmont and the beginning of a new partnership between Egmont and pocket.watch.
Ryan currently stars in a new series on Nickelodeon US called Ryan’s Mystery Playdate, which debuted in April and has already become the number one television show for pre-schoolers and was picked up for a second season only days after its premiere.
With experience of publishing pre-school titles like Paw Patrol and Thomas & Friends, which continues to sell one copy per minute in the UK, Egmont will launch the Ryan’s World magazine this July. It promises to innovate magazine packaging, and come complete with a surprise toy for unboxing.
Laura Adnitt, magazines publishing director at Egmont Publishing, said: “We are thrilled to have acquired the rights to publish Ryan’s World magazine. We feel that this magazine will shake up the pre-school magazine sector in a big way, offering exciting and relevant product for Ryan’s young fans.”
Ryan’s World books will also be launching this summer, with an Ultimate Guide to all things Ryan, an Annual, and a Sticker Scenes book. Ryan will join blockbuster brands like Mr Men Little Miss, Winnie-the-Pooh and Minecraft on the Egmont Publishing Books list.
Emily Campan, books publisher at Egmont Publishing, added: “We are so excited to be bringing Ryan to our Books list this year. Our books will be packed-full of silly, surprise, fun and we can’t wait for fans of Ryan’s channels to see them.”
