Egmont UK has revealed the publishing dates for the hotly anticipated debut series of Minecraft books.
The Minecraft Beginner’s Handbook and The Minecraft Annual will launch on October 10th this year. These will be followed by The Redstone Handbook, launching this December.
The Minecraft Beginner’s handbook will feature tips on in-game shelter making, resource gathering and armour and weapon crafting, while the Minecraft Annual 2014 will celebrate the game with step-by-step instructions for builds and tips from experts.
The Minecraft Redstone Handbook will offer tips and advice for working with redstone in the game, including mining and power sources.
Sarah Bates, publishing and marketing director, Egmont Publishing Group, said: "We are extremely proud of our first Minecraft books, we’ve aimed to make them look as similar to that of the books in the game so fans will be familiar with this design style.
"We think they look and feel fantastic. With hardback covers, gold foiling, embossing and a paper stock that you could build a house from, we’re extremely excited about the fan reaction in October."
Each title will retail at £7.99.
Lydia Winters, director of fun, Mojang, added: "It’s exciting to know our community will have some incredible books to take their adventures with Minecraft outside of the digital realm.
"We’re proud that we can give children a renewed sense of passion about reading through their love of our game."
