FremantleMedia Kids and Family Entertainment’s Ella the Elephant and Grojband will both premiere on kids’ TV channels, Tiny Pop and Pop this month.
Based on the award winning books by Carmela D’Amico, Ella the Elephant will air on Tiny Pop on Saturday, April 5th.
The musical animated comedy Grojband will make its channel debut on Pop later in the month.
Ella the Elephant has already been sold to over 50 territories around the globe, including ABC in Australia, Disney Junior Channel in Latin America, TVO and Knowledge Network in Canada and Clan in Spain.
A master toy deal is also in the pipeline in the US with further details to be announced.
Meanwhile, Grojband – aimed at kids aged six to 11 and following the story of three friends as they try to break the music industry – recently launched on ABC3 in Australia, where it was its number one show. It has also aired on Cartoon Network in the US and Latin America.
Joss Duffield, VP distribution and sales, FremantleMedia Kids and Family Entertainment, said: “Pop’s new Freeview platform makes it a key new player in UK children’s broadcasting.
“We are delighted to see two of our stand out shows launch on Pop and Tiny Pop.”
Dominic Gardiner, head of children’s channels at CSC Media, added: “Pop and Tiny Pop have been trusted brands in UK homes for more than ten years and we are genuinely thrilled to welcome the UK premieres of Grojband and Ella the Elephant in to our fun-tastic new line-up.”
