2010 Children's BAFTA nominees unveiled

Peppa Pig, Ben & Holly, ZingZillas, Spongebob, Timmy Time and Big & Small all up for accolades.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts has revealed the nominations for its 2010 EA British Academy Children's Awards.

A raft of properties with successful licensing and merchandising programmes are up for accolades, including Peppa Pig from Entertainment One and Astley Baker Davies, which has scooped its sixth nomination.

The show will go up against ABD stablemate, Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom in the Pre-school Animation category. Jungle Junction (Spider Eye/Playhouse Disney) and Aardman's Timmy Time will also fight it out in the category.

Big & Small (Kindle) is pitched against Grandpa in My Pocket (Adastra) in the Pre-school Live Action category, while Cbeebies' ZingZillas has been nominated in the Interactive category.

The International category will see Dirtgirlworld, The Penguins of Madagascar, Phineas and Ferb and Spongebob Squarepants fight it out, while Fantastic Mr Fox, Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang, Toy Story 3 and Up have all been shortlisted in the Feature Film category.

Other licensed properties up for awards include Horrid Henry (Novel), Shaun the Sheep (Aardman) and Doctor Who: Dreamland in Animation.

In addition, Cbeebies and CBBC will go up against Milkshake and Cyw for Channel of the Year.

The 2010 EA British Academy Children's Awards will take place on Sunday November 28th at the London Hilton, Park Lane. The ceremony will be hosted by children's TV presenter, Barney Harwood.
