4Kids bumps up Euro profile

Four new agencies come on board to represent a number of brands in three key territories.

4Kids Entertainment is forging ahead with its growth plans for the European market, appointing four new agencies to handle several of its properties in the Italian, Benelux and GAS (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) regions.

First up, Netherlands-based Bruno Productions will be taking on Monster Jam across the Benelux and GAS areas. The property has already made an impact, attracting some 33,000 people to the inaugural Monster Jam Live event in Brussels' Koning Boudwin Stadion in July.

The tour reaches Holland in late September, with three shows taking place over one weekend.

Meanwhile, Planeta Junior was 4Kids' choice to manage the expansion of three of its brands into the Italian marketplace. The firm will represent photographic properties The Dog and The Cat, plus popular trading card brand Dinosaur King.

m4e, which 4Kids previously appointed to represent Dinosaur King in GAS, will now add licensing responsibilities for The Dog in that region.

Finally, Euro Lizensen will be taking on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in GAS as the property approaches its milestone 25th anniversary in 2009.
