4Kids signs Trevco as first Dos y Dos partner

Sportswear brand to produce t-shirts in the US for bilingual pre-school musical series.

Latino live action bilingual pre-school property, Dos y Dos has its first licensee in the form of Trevco Sportswear.

4Kids Entertainment and The Latin American Multimedia Corporation have signed up the firm to produce t-shirts for adults, youths, infants and toddlers featuring the property's characters, artwork, designs and imagery in the US.

"We feel privileged to work with 4Kids and the Dos y Dos property," said Jim George, CEO of Trevco Sportswear. "There are 44.3 million Hispanics in the United States today with a staggering $870 billion + in purchasing power. The combination of a hit show and a huge untapped Hispanic market holds amazing opportunity for success and we are excited to be involved in it."

Each episode of Dos y Dos is recorded in Spanish with several words and phrases spoken in English. The premise of each episode revolves around solving the riddle of the day, with the show aiming to teach core values like sharing, helping and the importance of teamwork.

Dos y Dos also airs in Puerto Rico and is due for broadcast in Peru, Paraguay, Bolivia and Colombia by January 1st 2011.
