As the brand continues to gear up for its 25th anniversary 'shell-ebration', 4Kids Entertainment will be unveiling a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV series during October's Mipcom.
TMNT: Back to the Sewer has already been acquired by CITV for broadcast in the UK. The channel has picked up 13 half-hour episodes, which are scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2009.
Additionally, 4Kids has secured broadcast deals with leading programmers including Alter (Greece), DRTV (Denmark), MTV3 (Finland), Children's Channel via UCOI (Israel), Indosiar (Indonesia) and RTE (Ireland).
"We're delighted to be continuing our TMNT relationship with CITV, particularly as we build toward the 25th anniversary of the Turtles," said Brian Lacey, executive VP of international business at 4Kids. "TMNT has been a strong performer on CITV, and we're confident that kids will be thrilled with their newest series of adventures."
Several events will be marketing the 25th celebrations, including one in London where 4Kids will work with the Animation Art Gallery at County Hall to put on an exhibition of the original Turtles comic artwork from creators Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman.
