9 Story Entertainment has appointed the award-winning media executive, Natalie Dumoulin to the role of vice president of creative affairs.
In the newly created position, Dumoulin will report directly to president and CEO, Vince Commisso and will be responsible for sourcing and developing animated and live-action properties for kids.
She will also collaborate with 9 Story’s producers, writers and animation teams and work closely with the firm’s broadcast partners on key properties in development.
Boasting over 20 years experience in television production, Dumoulin was most recently the creative producer for Shaftesbury and director on international youth development for Pixcom.
She was instrumental in the production of the PBS series, Caillou, which she wrote and produced.
Dumoulin also produced the Emmy award winning series Arthur and developed Cartoon Network’s Gerald MCBoing-Boing.
“Appointing Natalie to this new role is a testament to 9 Story’s growth,” said Commisso. “Natalie is a bona fide triple threat with respect to discovering new creator, developing long running brands and producing shows right through delivery.
‘We are looking forward to having her drive our children’s slate with her tremendous expertise.”
Dumoulin added: “9 Story has a clear vision for growth uniquely coupled with an unbend commitment to quality. These two things, when combined with a mandate to focus on creator driven properties presented an opportunity I simply couldn’t resist.”
