9 Story steps up Wild Kratts activity after network success

New toy lines and books added to the property's roster of licensed products.

9 Story Media’s popular animated series Wild Kratts has secured the number one spot for children aged four to eight and six to 11 across all networks.

And as a result, Kratt Brothers Company has expanded the roll out of its roster of Wild Kratts toys and books.

Master toy licensee Wicked Cool Toys launched toys at Toys R Us in the US earlier this year, featuring creature power suits, plush and vehicle sets.

Following its strong reception at retail, new lines have now been added, including a Tortuga play-set, deluxe power suit with sound and a range of hero and villain packs.

The new lines are expected to be available at retail from autumn, 2015.

Meanwhile, sales of the first Wild Kratts book have already exceeded expectations across the US and Canada. The title – produced by Random House Kids is now undergoing a second printing.

Wild Kratts first premiered in the US in 2011 on PBS Kids and in Canada on TVO, Knowledge Network and Tele-Quebec.

Since launch, the series has now extended its global reach with sales to France Television, E Junior in the UAE and Canal Panda in Portugal, as well as airing in Latin America and Asia, Germany, Midle East, Israel, Spain, Ireland, Belgium, Singapore, Turkey and Colombia.
