Aardman Animations is looking to target new territories with its Shaun the Sheep and Timmy Time properties - signing up Nordic and Eastern European licensing agency Kidz Entertainment/EEMC.
The first toy deals have already been struck for Timmy Time in the territory, with Top Toy and distributor AMO, and products are due to roll out at the end of this year.
Other consumer products deals are in the pipeline, buoyed by strong broadcast TV across the region. TV is also confirmed in most Eastern European markets.
"We have always loved Aardman's work and Timmy will be adored by children and parents across our regions," said Kidz Entertainment/EEMC boss, Morten Geschwendtner. "We have the toy deals in place and now we're working with other partners to produce a wide selection of licensed products."
Sean Clarke, head of Aardman Rights, added: "Timmy is proving to be a big hit and we are excited to be partnering with Kidz Entertainment to bring him to a whole new audence in the Nordic region."
Meanwhile, the first series of Shaun the Sheep has racked up television sales and licensing deals in over 150 territories and has won a number of awards.
