AboutGolf simulators has added three of the famous St Andrew Links' courses to its existing line of fully three-dimensional courses.

The agreement, brokered by Copyright Promotions Sport, will see the Ohio-based firm professionally photograph the courses to recreate every detail, resulting in a near exact replica of each hole and the surrounding vistas.

AboutGolf believes that due to its groundbreaking technological developments, playing the Old Course on the system will be a realistic experience.

"A tremendous amount of time and effort was expended by our engineers to develop the exceptional detail of three of the courses at St Andrews Links, including the Old Course, the world's most famous golf course," said Bill Bales, AboutGolf's CEO.

Danny Campbell, MD of St Andrews Links Ltd, added: "This innovative system gives a very lifelike experience of playing our courses and we look forward to working with AboutGolf to develop it further."

Sean McAuliffe, commercial director of CPS, added: "The agreement with AboutGolf continues the select commercial programme we are managing for St Andrews Links Trust."

AboutGolf, which was recently quoted as the fastest growing golf company on the 2007 Inc 500 list (listing the 500 most dynamic companies in the US), gave golfers a sneak preview of the Old Course software earlier this year prior to The Open Championship. The main launch will be held in 2008.
