AC Milan extends Adidas partnership

Football giants ink sponsorship deal until the end of 2017.

Adidas and AC Milan have extended their sponsorship deal until 2017, with the new agreement also allowing the sports wear giant to design, produce, distribute and promote a wide range of non-sport related merchandise for the football club.

The two firms have been partners for ten years, during which time AC Milan has won a further nine titles.

"We have been partners with AC Milan since 1998 and this has allowed us to share so many exciting victories," said Herbert Hainer, chairman and CEO of the Adidas Group. "And we are looking forward to many more incredible seasons like this past one. Every day Adidas and AC Milan will work side by side to create more innovative products and to continue making football the most beautiful sport in the world."

Adriano Galliani, VP and MD of AC Milan, added: "AC Milan and Adidas are a strong couple. We share strategic visions, internationality and attitude to innovation. We started with a traditional supplying contract and today we official give Adidas the worldwide licensing rights of our brand."
