Acamar Films, independent producer and distributor of children’s TV show Bing, has hired Bethan Garton as head of licensing and Emma Read as brand manager.

The new appointments join as the brand activity ramps up following the recent launch of Bing on CBeebies in the UK.

As head of licensing, Garton will be building the licensing program for Bing in the UK and internationally, as the show hits further territories.

Garton has previously worked as senior licensing manager at The Licensing Company UK where she oversaw the development of Bing for two years.

New brand manager Read will be responsible for product and brand marketing development.

Read began her career at Universal Music and has worked on brands including Postman Pat, Where's Wally? and Forever Friends.

“Bethan and Emma both add considerable skill and experience to Acamar and I’m delighted to welcome them both to our team," said Mikael Shields, producer of Bing and CEO of Acamar Films.
