A UK technology company has created a new method of reproducing stereo signals from a single speaker enclosure – and is now looking for licensing partners.
The technology returns to its founding principles of stereo reproduction, reproducing signals as ‘direct’ and ‘spatial’ sound, instead of as discrete left and right channel audio.
Airsound LLP, the company founded to exploit Airsound technology, has registered several patents in respect of the development and is currently seeking licensing agreements with professional audio and MI manufacturers.
The direct and spatial Airsound reproduction system enables authentic stereo reproduction from a single speaker enclosure, filling a room with a full and balanced stereo signal everywhere in front of the enclosure.
The ability to reproduce true stereo from a single enclosure of almost any size, enables integration of the technology in a wide range of products including small to medium PA, studio monitors, home keyboards, portable practice amplifiers, guitar amplifiers and commercial audio installation systems.
