Andrew Kerr has unveiled the first deal for his new venture, Aoh!K Commercial.
Kerr will be acting as the UK licensing and merchandising agent for Twofour54’s pre-school offering, Driver Dan’s Story Train, looking to build on the popularity of the TV show at retail level. A style guide for the series – which has consistently rated as one of the most watched on Cbeebies since its launch in January and has just been picked up by PBS Sprout in the US – is currently being worked on and will be available before Christmas.
Macmillan Children’s Books kicked off the product roll out with the release of five SKUs earlier this month into stores including Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Asda, plus a limited run in WH Smith, with a further 20 titles planned for 2011.
Kerr will be looking to boost awareness of Driver Dan even further at Brand Licensing Europe next week. First targets are master toy and secondary toy partners, followed by the apparel and homewares sectors, including possible DTR partners.

Kerr was previously EVP of international marketing and consumer products at Classic Media, a position that he held until June. Prior to that, he was EVP of global licensing and marketing at Ragdoll.
