Wimbledon champion Andy Murray will appear in a special 75th anniversary edition of The Beano.

The BBC reports that following the tennis star's triumph over Novak Djokovic on Sunday, July 7th, the strip had to be re-written as he faces The Beano regular Minnie the Minx.

The star-studded edition will also feature the champion's mother, Judy alongside a host of celebrities.

The Beano's editor Craig Graham, told the BBC: "The Beano celebrates its 75th anniversary this year and we've been working hard to put together an extra special issue that is packed full of menacing, pranks and jokes.

"We always planned to include Andy Murray in this amazing issue - but we've reworked the strip to reflect his historic Wimbledon win.

"It's been a real honour to work on this extra special issue and we hope Andy - and all our readers like it."
