The winner of Brand Licensing Europe's License This: The Next Big Thing, Animaru is building its team as it makes its push into the industry.

The Japanese inspired graphic design brand has taken on a licensing director - Rupert Waters from EnLicense - and a PR and marketing director - Suzanne Noble from Stunning PR.

Waters has some 12 years of licensing experience having worked at The Licensing Company, HarperCollins and, most recently, Marvel, where he headed up international publishing. Meanwhile, Noble has worked with clients including Warner Bros Consumer Products and is currently consulting for LazyTown.

"As a company still finding its feet in the arcane world of licensing, it's been a delight to meet two professionals in Suzanne and Rupert," said Noel Hinton, MD of Animaru. "They bring immeasurable experience and great energy and give us hope that we can fulfill BLE's promise of becoming The Next Big Thing."
