Animaru readies Christmas range

The winner of Brand Licensing Europe's License This competition, Animaru has been refining and adding to its portfolio, with a themed line due for Christmas and discussions ongoing with book publishers.

The firm has distributed its range of cards itself since 2007, notching up sales in excess of 10,000 cards per year.

The Norfolk-based firm is now seeking a card company which can broaden its reach, with Rupert Waters on board as licensing agent.

In addition, Animaru is in discussions with publishers about a series of books for children aged five to nine, as well as collectable companies regarding trading cards.

A consumer facing website will launch later this summer, along with an online style guide.

"Winning the License This award panel has inspired us to polish and extend the animaru character base and to redevelop our web presence," explained Noel Hinton, the company's MD. " will be focused on improving the visibility and perception of the animaru brand, while also providing assets and support to potential licensees."
