Animaru continues to grow its licensing programme, adding Star Editions to its portfolio.
The UK-based gift manufacturer is producing greetings cards, mugs, magnets and art prints.
Since winning the first License This competition at BLE 2010, Animaru has signed deals in apparel, home decoration, optical cases and publishing with Egmont.
The licence has its origins in greetings cards, however, with the first Animaru created as part of a Valentine's Day card which graphic designer Sophie Hinton created for her boyfriend.
"Greeting cards has been our core product since Animaru began, so I'm especially excited to be working with Star Editions who has the capability to manage our huge portfolio of characters and drive the product range to wider audience."
Will Marston, sales director at Star Editions, added: "The moment we saw the Animaru brand, we knew it was a winner. The breadth of characters and the wide appeal it has with both children and adults, mean the sky's the limit in terms of retailers and sales."
