APPAREL MONTH: Aardman bags Blues Clothing for Canimals

Popular licensee to launch new lines in autumn/winter 2013 and spring/summer 2014.

Aardman Rights is continuing to build the licensing programme for Canimals, moving into the apparel sector by signing up Blues Clothing.

The new apparel lines will launch in autumn/winter 2013 and spring/summer 2014, and will include leisurewear, underwear, nightwear and swimwear for girls.

"Blues is delighted to be Aardman's partner for Canimals apparel," said Patrick Bailey, commercial director at Blues. "We are lookin forward to working with this fantastic quirky girls brand, which is very different to other TV/graphic brands presently in the market."

Meanwhile, Aardman has also signed fashion accessories supplier Rudolf Stein. The firm will launch character jewellery and hair accessories for a spring/summer 2014 launch.

"We expect these fashionable new apparel and accessories lines to be a real hit with our target audience," said Rob Goodchild, head of licensing at Aardman. "These new partnerships further prove Canimals as a burgeoning brand and we are excited to be exploring new opportunites with partners at Spring Fair this week."
