Asterix boosted by supermarket promotions in Italy

New figurine loyalty programme launches in Despar stores.

Asterix brand owner Les Editions Albert René has announced a tie-up with a host of italian supermarkets.

The classic comic brand will be boosted by a new loyalty programme running in Despar supermarkets (known as Spar in the UK).

When a consumer spends €15 or over, they'll receive a free 3D figurine. 

There are 24 different models to collect. 

The programme kicked off on May 13th and will run for one month until June 16th.
