Future Games of London has appointed AT New Media to develop the merchandise and licensing programme for the Hungry Shark app.
An initial deal has been signed with BattleAnt to design, manufacture and distribute a Hungry Shark plush toy, to tie in with the release of the next instalment of the series.
AT New Media is also looking at sectors including collectables and resin figures.
"AT New Media is looking to represent digital brands that offer something different as we look to evolve our merchandising services, and Hungry Shark is absolutely red hot at present, so represents an absolutely fantastic opportunity from a licensing perspective," said Simon Kay from AT New Media.
FGOL's chairman, Lindsay Charlton, added: "We have big plans for the future development of Hungry Shark and merchandising is an exciting new route for us to a global market. We are delighted to be working with the team at AT New Media to build even strong connections to our fan base."
