The second installment of PDC World Championship Darts 2009 is due to roll out from Oxygen Games later on this year, with AT New Media working with the company to give the franchise a further boost.
With the sport enjoying a high profile at the moment, thanks to Phil Taylor winning the Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship, the Oxygen title will be released on May 29th. It will also be available on Nintendo's Wii system for the first time.
"I'm very happy to have won the World Championship and am looking forward to helping Oxygen Games make the best darts game to date," commented Taylor. "Hopefully they'll make sure I'm the toughest guy to play against in the game, you know, to ensure it's as realistic as possible!"
Simon Kay, business development director at AT New Media, added: "Not only have TV ratings and prize money increased, the level of interest in darts as an interactive game has too. Whether you are interested in the World Championship or Premier League Darts, this franchise is set to continue its recent success."
