Atlantyca signs Spain's Random House Mondadori for Bat Pat

Atlantyca Entertainment has signed up Spanish language publishing group Random House Mondadori to produce The Detective Diary agenda, which is based on the children's book series featuring Bat Pat.

The new line features an 'agenda' style with games, puzzles, quizzies and activities for fans.

"This promotion is a reflection of the continued success the books have in the region," explained Rachele Geraci, licensing manager at Atlantyca Entertainment. "The character continues to be adored by young Spanish readers.

"The introduction of The Detective Diary provides another outlet for the children to experience, first hand, the joys of the stories in their own interactive ways."

The Bat Pat stories feature spooky tales of witches, ghosts, monsters and vampires told by Bat Pat.

The series has been sold in Italy, US, France, Portugal, Hungary, Turkey, Brazil, Serbia, Thailand, Indonesia, Belgium, Holland, Hong Kong, Taiwan and China.

Atlantyca is currently working on an animated Bat Pat TV series in partnership with Imira Entertainment, Malaysia's Inspidea, plus broadcast and participation partners Rai Fiction (Italy), GD Animation Fund and RTVE (Spain).
