Avanquest teams with Hit for Thomas & Friends games

Games and activities for pre-schoolers based on new Misty Island Rescue film.

Nova Development, a division of Avanquest Software, has teamed up with Hit Entertainment to roll out a series of games and activities based on the full-length Thomas & Friends feature, Misty Island Rescue.

The multi-level game and learning software aims to teach pre-schoolers the value of friendship, fair play and teamwork, as well as the basic skills of maths, matching and memory among others.

There are ten different games, as well as activities for improving hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills and spatial orientation.

"Children are very familiar with Thomas & Friends, and the Misty Island Rescue software adds an educational component that will nurture young minds at a critical stage in their development," said Todd Helfstein, president, Nova Development.
