The BabyTV channel has hired a new agent for Turkey and Northern Cyprus, ZNN Licensing.

Building on BabyTV's presence on Digiturk, ZNN will focus on developing the consumer products and retail programme, creating on-pack promotional opportunities with FMCG brands.

"As a parent, I have enjoyed BabyTV's safe, fun, colourful environment and its variety of characters with my children," said Nurgul Senefe, MD, ZNN Licensing. "Professionally we believe in the licensing potential of these core attributes and the confidence the brand has built amongst parents in Turkey."

Ralk Kies, director of global licensing and merchandising for BabyTV, added: "Key data such as viewer feedback, app downloads and website traffic tell us that BabyTV has a stronger following in Turkey than in many other countries. We are, therefore, very pleased having ZNN on board to drive our licensing business for this market."
