BabyTV adds new global partners

Firm welcomes licensees across home video and other consumer products.

The consumer products and retail drive for BabyTV is continuing to expand, with the firm inking a number of new partnerships.

In home video, BabyTV has sealed five partnerships for its My First Years Library DVD with Noviy Disk (Russia), Viva Entertainment (Middle East), Next Music (South Africa) and Marcom Projects (Australia/New Zealand).

Additionally, Unlimited S.A (Chile) will launch one DVD per week over a 12-week period through its La Tercera newspaper.

Elsewhere, agent P&L Global has agreeed a deal in Latin America with Party Express Chile covering various birthday, party and paper articles based on the BabyTV characters and IP.

Ansaldo S.A is also on board and is rolling out product including nursery toys and games, play gyms, mobiles, rattles, soft cubes and melamine among other items.

"We look forward to seeing our licensed product range expand further at retail during 2011," said Ralf Kies, director of licensing and merchandising at BabyTV.

BabyTV launched in the UK in 2003 and rolled out into international countries two years later in 2005. Within two years, the channel was available in all five continents.
