Commercial free channel BabyTV is making its first foray off the screen and into stores, rolling out the My First Years Library, a DVD encyclopaedia based on its contents.

Near simultaneous releases are planned in Europe, Asia and Latin America.

The collection has already been launched in Mexico, Brazil, Singapore, Hong Kong, Portugal and the Netherlands, with licensors including 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, InnoForm Media, LNK and Brightvision Entertainment.

BabyTV will be continuing the roll out, with launches in additional territories scheduled for the coming months.

My First Years Library is based around ten key learning categories. BabyTV initially launched ten single DVD titles into the market, with further titles being released every three to four months. A total of 50 DVDs will make up the full collection.

BabyTV launched in the UK in 2003 and rolled out into international countries two years later in 2005. Within two years, the channel was available in all five continents.
