BabyTV's first set of books will launch on July 1st following a tie up with Itsyourstory.

The company has come on board to produce photo-personalised books based on some of the brand's most popular characters.

Two books will initially launch - Guess with Tulli and Opposites with Draco.

"We are really excited about the launch of our first BabyTV books," said Barnaby Wright, CEO at Itsyourstory. "BabyTV has a wealth of fantastic properties that adapt well to book format so we are looking forward to producing a range that will encapsulate the unique characters and the brand."

Meanwhile, Smart Kids Publishing Canada has signed up as publishing partner for the territory and is due to launch a series of developmental book formats with added value items. The books will be available in English and French and are due to hit shelves before Christmas 2010.

Ralf Kies, director of licensing and merchandising at BabyTV, added: "Publishing is a key category within BabyTV's consumer products strategy and a natural extension to our brand."

BabyTV launched in the UK in 2003 and rolled out into international countries two years later in 2005. Within two years, the channel was available in all five continents.
