Bacup Shoe Direct has secured a major deal to produce a range of footwear featuring boy band of the moment, One Direction.
The agreement - which will run until 2015 and was signed with Global Merchandising Services - will see Bacup design and manufacture slippers, sandals, flip flops and trainers on a made to order basis for supermarkets such as Asda, footwear stores like Shoezone and fashion businesses including New Look, Primark, BHS and Peacocks among others.
Prices will range from £4.99 for slippers, up to £20+ for trainers.
Stock will be available in time for the key Christmas period.
Bacup's national sales manager, Neal Wells, said that the design team were working "flat out" to meet demand.
"With the new tour and movie coming, we believe this is the hottest property available today," he said.
