Amscan has a line of new Bridal and Princess Barbie costumes for girls aged three to eight from Christy’s By Design.
The Princess Barbie pink costume comes with sparkles, a silver bow and bell-style cap sleeves. The designs are in line with the activity currently surrounding Barbie in the Pink Shoes. The costume is completed with a silver and pink jeweled mini crown and a ‘mini me’ princess costume to fit a Barbie doll.
Meanwhile, the white Barbie Bridal costume comes with hot pink bows, off the shoulder cap sleeves, a white veil and a miniature costume for Barbie.
Amscan also has a collection of Barbie foil balloons, including various Mini Shape lines, Barbie Pattern standard and Barbie Love Hearts designs.
Bonnier will be releasing four new Barbie products this year, further expanding its range.
Releasing this month (June) is the Barbie Make & Create Calendar (£4.99) and following in August will be the Barbie Pet Parlour Playscene Pack (£5.99). This includes one activity book, one press out book and a fold out scene.
Arriving in September will be the Barbie Sleepover Pack (£6.99). It will include a 16-page planner, one sheet of stickers, a 16-page Memory Book, five invitations and envelopes, all presented in a card folder.
Finally, Barbie Let’s Celebrate Christmas (£4.99) also arrives in September and will include 16 pages, plus eight pages of scented stickers and gatefold.
Barbie has always been a popular brand for the homewares and textiles specialist. Character World’s new single panel duvet has listings in Littlewoods, Asda, Tesco and Express Gifts and will be available for autumn/winter 2013. The firm says that it expects the product to “fly off shelves”, as it brings a modern twist to a popular licence.

Copywrite Designs is launching a number of new Barbie stationery products for 2013. All of the items are described as ‘girly and fabulous’ and focus on Barbie’s loves: Pink, Frills and Fashion.
The line includes the Barbie Art Pod (featuring paints and colouring posters) and the Creativity Set, which comes in a special gift bag and is crammed full of ‘glitter and shine’.
The Letter Writing Set comes with secret notepaper, envelopes and stickers, while the Complete Art Pack has over 60 art components stored inside a carry case for art on the move.

The collection is one of the biggest ever product launches for Mega Brands, and, by developing and expanding the range, it is encouraging girls to build the Barbie world that they could only previously imagine.
A second series of collectable mini-fashion figures will be introduced for A/W, including eight new characters. The Barbie & Friends Assortment features new themes, so that play possibilities become even more open-ended for girls aged four to ten years.
A new buildable vehicle, the Build n Play Glam Scooter, has also been added, to stimulate active and adventurous play. The Build n Store Storage Case – to carry blocks, accessories, mini-fashion figures and building plates – has also been introduced.
New themed sets include the Build n Play Tropical Resort, with buildable pier and accessories such as buildable jet skis and dolphins. In line with the fashion element of Mega Bloks Barbie, the Build n Play Glam Salon is a two-storey set with multiple build options, so that girls can lay out the salon any way they wish and glam up Hair Fun Barbie and Summer.
One of the larger offerings for A/W, the Build n Play Horse Stable includes accessories and special features, including a horse and pony, jumps and grooming station.

The year, in addition to the regular Barbie Annual, Pedigree is offering a new publication – the Barbie Sticker & Poster Activity Annual. It features almost 50 pages of Barbie fun and activities, with over 100 stickers included.
The Barbie Annual 2014 will be available from August 1st, including a mix of profiles, brand information, activities, games, quizzes, colouring and more. Also included will be a free Barbie mask to add extra value.

Barbie home entertainment has gone from strength to strength over the past two years. It is currently the number two non-theatrical home entertainment kids brand franchise in the UK, with 2012 delivering the biggest ever year for Barbie on DVD.
With a re-focused year-round marketing campaign, the latest offering is Barbie: Mariposa & The Fairy Princess. It will launch on DVD and Blu-ray on August 26th, with the DVD featuring a limited edition Mariposa charm.
Universal Pictures (UK) distributes the entire Barbie catalogue, which comprises 25 titles.
