The Bright Agency, part of the Bright Group, has secured a deal for the leading author/illustrator Sue Hendra’s latest book Barry the Fish with Fingers is to be published in the US and Canada by Random House USA.
The US publication is part of a worldwide publishing deal whereby Bright sold the US and Canadian rights for the book to Random House USA, whilst Simon and Schuster UK bought the rights for the UK and the rest of the world.
Each publisher has created its own version of the book for the two markets to take into account cultural differences, as an English fish finger is an American fish stick.
In the UK a major PR campaign has seen press giveaways and coverage in parenting magazines and on websites - with high profile slots for the book at Waterstone’s, Borders and Asda.
