The famous Battersea Dogs and Cats Home is to return to the small screen with a new TV show starting on September 3rd.

The will follow O’Grady as he gets to know the staff and dogs at the home, and finds out what it takes to look after 6,000 dogs a year.

O’Grady spend two months filming the show. Speaking abot the job, he said: “This has been one of the nicest jobs I've ever had. Everybody knows Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, it’s one of the jewels in London’s crown and it’s a joy to be there; I feel so at home. I’m hoping that people will watch this programme and see what a happy, professional environment it is. There is humour, sadness, pathos, genuine concern – it’s going to be different to everything else that’s on the telly.”

Since it was last on TV in the '90s, Battersea Dogs and Cats Home has become a player in the licensing industry, lending the famous brand to a range of animal care products, gifts and even jigsaw puzzles.

The brand made its first appearance at BLE last year, and will be Stand #A060 this October.
