Bazooka line grows

Fashion bags are the latest addition to licensing programme for bubble gum range.

A new collection of Bazooka-branded fashion bags have been rolled out from Vadobag.

The bags all feature the signature design elements of the Bazooka bubble gum range, including Bazooka Joe and the mini comic strips which were packed in with the bubblegum.

The licensing drive is targeted at young adults and this will be the second line which Dutch firm Vadobag has developed. It follows the Bazooka Bling range. TDP Textiles has also recently completed t-shirts for record retail, while Vacant Designs is due to launch another t-shirt line for the independent sector shortly.

Vadobag is also in the process of creating a stationery line.

"Bazooka is an iconic brand with some great design assets that are suitable for licensing," said Ian Downes from Start Licensing. "We see Bazooka Joe as a great brand character for licensees to use who are looking to tap into the nostalgia market."
