With BBC Children in Need taking place this Friday (November 19th), a range of smartphone covers have been created and are available now to help raise further funds.
Mobstar Media and cause-related marketing firm Louis Kennedy have created a range of custom-made covers, available through their own retail distribution channels and the official Children in Need website.
With a design based on the Pudsey spots pattern, the cases will initially be available for selected Apple iPhone and Blackberry phones. Priced at £14.99, 20 per cent of the proceeds will go to Children in Need.
In addition, the firms have created a downloadable Blackberry theme, allowing supporters to customise their device with Pudsey polka dots, purchase a case or make a charity donation via an in-built link.
"We have been working with BBC Children in Need for the past ten years and we're thrilled to be extending our partnership into the digital space in 2010," said Grant Morgan, founder and CEO of Louis Kennedy.
Elizabeth Woodham of BBC Children in Need added: "We love the theme and cases that Louis Kennedy and Mobstar have created. Merchandise from our charity partners is an important part of our annual fundraising activity and this brings a fresh, fun and up to date twist to our offering this year."
