BBC Magazines has launched a fully digital iPad app for its Good Food Magazine.

The February issue is now available to download from the Apple store for £1.79 as a special introductory offer, rising to £2.99 after an initial trial period.

This is the second BBC title to move onto the iPad format, following the launch of Focus magazine's app in November.

The app includes a range of interactive and social elements, such as recipe cards, videos of cooking techniques, a personalised shopping list and a glossary of ingredients.

"We think the iPad has great growth potential and we are delighted to launch this product at this early stage in the new technology's development," said publishing director, Alfie Lewis.
