BBC Worldwide is looking to draw on the broadcast and publishing heritage of pre-school show 64 Zoo Lane, securing a licensing and merchandising deal with creator Millimages.
The firm has taken global licensing rights to the show - excluding the French speaking world.
"We are delighted to be representing 64 Zoo Lane," said Jackie Ferguson, senior international licensing manager at BBC Worldwide. "This TV series has performed consistently over the years with a number of major European broadcasters and has entranced and delighted children and their parents alike.
"The broadcast and publishing heritage it has established gives us a very solid platform from which to develop and extensive licensing programme."
John Reynolds, group commercial director at Millimages, added: "The stories in 64 Zoo Lane continue to resonate with pre-schoolers worldwide and we are delighted that kids will now be able to access licensed merchandise through our deal with BBC Worldwide."
