BBC Worldwide's EVP Western Europe names senior team

New appointments for Benelux, France, germany, Iberia, Italy and the Nordics follow the reorganisation of BBC Worldwide earlier this year.

BBC Worldwide's executive vice president for Western Europe, David Weiland, has appointed his team of territory heads across the Western region.

New appointments for Benelux, France, Germany, Iberia, Italy and the Nordics follow the re-organisation of BBC Worldwide earlier this year.

The change-around saw the business reconfigured from divisional to geographical lines of management in order to increase its focus on international markets.

Each new head becomes responsible for strategy and business development and delivering revenue and profit growth across all business in their region.

Reporting to Weiland, are:

Gabriele Galassi - Head of Benelux.
Isabelle Hele - Head of German speaking territories
Francesca Doria - Director, Italy and Iberia
Richard Hornsby-Smith - Director, Nordics
Jean-Louis Blot - Head of production, France
Sandra Petkovic - Head of French speaking territories

Weiland commented: "Western Europe is a key market for BBC Worldwide, with a number of established businesses and the exceptional sales growth in the region."
