BBC2 boost for Classic shows

Guess with Jess and Tinga Tinga Tales will now also air on BBC2.

Following the successful launches of Classic Media's pre-school brands Guess with Jess and Tinga Tinga Tales on Cbeebies, the shows will now also run on BBC2.

Guess with Jess airs weekdays on the channel at 9.45am, followed by TTT at 10am.

Since its launch on Cbeebies in November 2009, Guess with Jess has enjoyed consistent scheduling and is currentlly airing daily at midday in the Discovery & Do slot. The show continues to rate well, achieving a total reach of over one million viewers each month since launch (Eurodata - HWK 0-3 and Kids 4-6).

Notably, Guess with Jess achieved the same total reach in January with 23 episodes versus 32 episodes in November 2009. It is also available on BBC iPlayer and has had over 100,000 downloads to date.

Meanwhile, Tinga Tinga Tales began airing on February 1st on Cbeebies, with early ratings information from Eurodata indicating a successful launch.

"We're thrilled that both Tinga Tinga Tales and Guess with Jess are now also going to be scheduled on BBC2," said Claire Shaw, VP of consumer products at Classic Media. "This is fantastic news and demonstrates the support being given by the BBC to these great new shows."
