Iconic comic The Beano has been named as the winner of Best Youth Cover at this year's The Maggies awards.
The 72 year-old publication beat off strong competition from Fantastic Funworld, BBC Cbeebies Art, Dr Who Adventures and Dinomite.
The October 2009 cover was classed as reflecting the whole comic, while still projecting the "same boisterous sense of fun which entranced the grandparents of its 21st century readers" according to judging panel chairman, Jim Bilton.
Editor Alan Digby added: "The editorial and design team puts a lot of effort into The Beano covers, knowing the importance of standing out on a crowded news shelf. It's a great honour to receive this award, and we'll be sure to keep it safely out of range of Dennis' catapult.
"Thanks to all who took the trouble to vote for us."
