Now in its ninth year, the Talented Youngster of the Year Awards 2009 were held last month in Manchester, with the lavish event at The Palace Hotel sponsored by Elvis Presley licensee Bellagio Time.

Over 400 guests were treated to a night of entertainment from performers aged between 11 and 21. Actress Sue Jenkins and comedian Vince Miller hosted the event.

"I have been designing watches for 15 years and have been a fan of Elvis since I can remember," said Mike Cohen, founder of Bellagio Time. "To be able to combine the two is an honour and to be able to support this event in aid of Destination Florida is a true pleasure.

"We are proud to be in such a unique position to make dreams come true for the children we are helping travel to Florida for a trip of a lifetime, and in my opinion, all the kids who have made it to the final are winners."

Junior winner Harry Mondryk and senior winner January are pictured with Cohen and actress Kym Marsh from Coronation Street, who was on the judging panel for the awards.

Bellagio Time also showcased its range of Elvis watches during the evening. "We are amazed and extremely proud at such an overwhelming response," added Cohen.

Britain's Got Talent

The talent show used to be a big draw throughout the 1970s and early 1980s ? with Opportunity Knocks and New Faces leading the way ? before disappearing from our screens in the 1990s.
