Beyblade in production for three new series'

Shogun Steel to launch this autumn, while BeyRaiderz Shogun and BeyWarriors Cyborg will arrive next year.

Nelvana Enterprises and d-Rights have begun production on three new Beyblade series.

Beyblade: Shogun Steel will launch in the autumn, while working titles BeyRaiderz Shogun will launch in spring 2014 and BeyWarriors Cyborg will follow next autumn.

The new series' will introduce a host of new characters to the brand and the upcoming toy line from Hasbro.

Colin Bohm, MD at Nelvana, said: "Shogun Steel begins the most unique and fantastical vision of the Beyblade universe we have seen yet and continues to offer an exciting world of interaction between the TV series, toys and games.

"The series’ fresh new storylines will reignite interest from current Beyblade fans, as well as invite new fans of the franchise.”

Talks are currently underway for a collection of new licensing partners to sign deals with the brand in the US and Canada including Paris Geneve, Mad Dog Concepts, Eugene Textiles and Black and White Shoes.

Since its relaunch of the TV series and toy line in 2009, Beyblade has enjoyed a success that has seen over 165 million toys sold worldwide.
