Bright Group International has been hired by TV channel BabyTV to launch a new baby publishing series based on its programming.

The network is available through a number of major TV platforms worldwide, including Sky, BT Vision and Virgin TV in the UK. Programming is designed to promote learning, activity and interaction in a fun environment.

BGI will now look to realise BabyTV's potential in the publishing sector. It already represents a number of other companies which are looking to move their brands into publishing, including Hallmark and London Zoo.

"We always look for properties that have real integrity to them and are rich in content - this is the main motivator to lead a property into publishing," explained BGI MD Vicki Willden-Lebrecht. "BabyTV definitely fits this bill. We have already had considerable interest from potential partners."

Maya Talit from BabyTV added: "Our series have received a very warm welcome from parents and children alike and we look forward to translating the success of our characters and stories into books."
