Classic cartoon Vicky the Viking is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, and licensor Studio 100 Media/EM.Entertainment is planning a wealth of activity surrounding it.
At the end of last year, the firms secured new licence agreements with FIPO Group, Develey and Dautel, as well as extending the existing contract with GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare.
This year, plans are already underway for a live action movie due in the autumn.
In terms of merchandising, the FIPO Group has acquired rights for a wide range of licensed products in the home and living and textiles and accessories sectors for the German, Swiss and Austrian markets.
GlaxoSmithKline, meanwhile, is building on its original 2004 contracr for oral hygiene products featuring Vicky the Viking. Products include manual tooth brushes and a toothbrush set and are marketed in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Develey will be producing collectable mustard jars featuring a range of images from the cartoon, while Dautel has iron-on motifs and Clipos, tiny figures which can be attached as an accessory to shoes or belts.
