1_bin-weevils-200.jpg has become the most popular children’s online destination in the UK after drawing the most unique users in June. reports the site attracted 972,000 unique visitors during the month.

Amelia Johnson, co-founder of Bin Weevils, said: “The focus of the BinWeevils online social world is on creativity, education and the provision of a mentally stimulating environment for kids to play in. 

“We recently launched ‘Track Builder’, for example, which allows children to build their own racing tracks and play with their friends. We also encourage them to publish their own magazines, run their own businesses and take part in fun games and quizzes. 

“At Bin Weevils we put kids in control. It’s their digital world, they feel that they’ve helped create it and it’s by providing this outlet for self-expression and creativity that BinWeevils has become the most popular digital social world in the UK.” will head to the US at the end of 2012. 

“The social world and its hugely popular characters have international appeal and the rollout into new English-speaking territories is an inevitable next step,” added Johnson.
