Ambitious BKN New Media is to launch a major new project, which it believes will have "significant and material" impact on its sales and earnings over the next few years.
Joshua Blake: The Agency is described by BKN as "one of the most exciting opportunities" in its history.
It has identified a budget of $13 million, with $5 million already secured from a deal with a prominent Canadian house.
The series will feature the newly created character, Joshua Blake, who has been trained by the government spy agency, simply known as The Agency.
BKN has secured the services of Richard Ungar (Spider-man: The Animated Series, Biker Mice from Mars) as executive producer, with Andy Briggs as lead writer.
40 episodes are being planned for delivery by spring 2011.
"The quality of this project, along with top quality scripts and animation style design, FX and 3D elements should result in a superb, state of the art animation series," said Laura Tapias, MD of BKN in Spain. "We know our customers worldwide will love it."
